Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy

How if works :

Blood is taken in the same way as a blood test. This is centrifuged and the platelet rich plasma is removed and activating solutions are added. PDGF – platelet dermal growth factor, EGF-1 epidermal growth factor, FGF – fibroblast growth factor and TGF-B1 transforming growth factor B1 are all activated in the process. The plasma and platelets are then injected into the skin. This stimulates a collagen reaction in the skin leading to skin tightening and wrinkle reduction.

We use 2 systems of PRP treatment. The first is the Bioscor PRP system processes around 9ml of blood per 1-2 tubes are used per treatment. For this system 3-4 treatments are generally required, and the concentration of platelets is 1.7x that of blood.

The second system is the Angel PRP system which concentrates platelets up to 20x, and the platelets can be diluted back with serum to achieve an optimal 6x -10 x concentration. Only 1 treatment is generally required.
