Nail & Wart Laser



How it works

Fungal Nail infections can be treated with Long Pulse Nd Yag Laser. The Thermal heating under the nail results in damage and apotosis of the fungal elements. Once the fungus has been killed, the nail will return to its normal state after the damaged section of nail grows the full length of the nail bed. This can take up to six months.

Warts can be treated with a Long Pulse Nd Yag laser. The laser damages the blood vessels supplying the wart leading to its elimination. 1-2 treatments are required.

Side Effects

Some pain occurs with the laser treatment which is only momentary. However the Nail discolouration will take up to 6 months to clear.

Below is a picture of thumbs treated twice with a Long pulse ND Yag laser. The new nail growing from the nail bed is clear of the fungus. The distal nail has the discolouration from the fungus that is dead, but the nail has to grow out in order for the nail to regain its normal appearance.

Wart treatment. The wart will under necrosis and turn black after several days and new skin will grow beneath the wart separating the dead wart off.
