In the event of unexpected heavy demand, appointments may have to be delayed or rescheduled if our supplies of filler are exhausted.
How it works :
Fillers are made from molecules which are cross linked in a gel. These molecules exists naturally in all joints and in the skin. The cross linking compound and the molecules is broken down and absorbed over 12-30 months. Fillers are used to replace volume or fat loss in the face resulting in a younger appearance.
Fillers can also be used to increase the elasticity of the skin with intradermal injections using the Fern technique. This can last 30-36 months or longer.
Effects :
Fillers are commonly used in the Nasolabial folds, Corners of the mouth (oral commissures), Mid face – to enhance cheek structure, Lip volume enhancment, Jowl laxity, Tear trough and any static wrinkle lines eg upper lip or frown. Fillers can also be used to smooth out nose deformities and for chin enhancements. The filler will be absorbed more rapidly in high movement areas( 12-15 months) and slower in lower movement areas. (15-18 months) and with long acting filler 24-30 months
Side Effects :
There is minor discomfort with the injection. The gel compound contains local anaesthetic and most patients state that there is discomfort during injection but no pain. Immediately post injection there is some redness and swelling. This will account for around 10% of the volume effect that is seen on the day and will last 24 hrs. Bruising can occur and ice can be used to reduce this effect. The gel can be moved under the skin for up to 2 weeks. Occasionally allergy to the product can occur. This will result in a bluish tinge several weeks after injection. There is an injection that is available to dissolve the filler and result in its removal. The following is to be avoided post injection : Alcohol and excercise 24 hrs, Facial massage 2 wks, Sauna/spa 2 weeks

$300-800 per ml. Fillers come as a single syringe of 1ml Smaller quantities are not available, but fillers can be used in multiple areas. Below is a guide depending on age and facial structure.
