Elysium is proud to introduce the latest in thread lift technology – Cog PDO threads for a mini thread face lift.
How it works
As a person ages, the fat content and skin elasticity in the face reduces. Previously face lifts were performed to tighten the skin giving a more youthful appearance. Now this can be avoided by using barbed threads to pull up the skin in a similar way.
The area is numbed with local anaesthesia, and a barbed thread is placed via a cannula under the skin. This is pulled tight to lift the skin.
The lifting occurs from 2 technologies. Cogs on the threads enable the skin to be pulled tighter in a similar way to a face lift. The PDO slowly dissolves and stimulates collagen production resulting in a collagen thread or tube that prolongs the duration of the lift. Lifts will generally last 1 to 1.5 years.
